I grew up in South Carolina as an only child, always surrounded by many animals! My dear father instilled in me a deep love and respect for them, and I knew from about the age of five that I wanted to be a vet.
After graduating with an undergrad from Clemson University, I then attended veterinary school at the University of Georgia. Two days after graduation I moved to Danville, California where I had accepted a position at a day practice and worked at an emergency clinic in Berkeley on the weekends. In 1994 I decided to start my own practice, establishing ‘Dog and Cat House Calls’.
My mission continues to be to provide quality, compassionate veterinary care in a home environment, because there are many times when animals do not need to go to a traditional hospital to be diagnosed and treated. For those times when additional services are necessary, I have privileges at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center in San Ramon. I do my surgeries, dentals, and Xrays there and also refer to them if I am not available. With my partnership and strong relationship with Bishop Ranch I am able to provide full service veterinary care.
I love doing house calls and plan to do them for many more years.
